Built with Pride
for 96 Years
Pulliam Pools is the continuation of a family construction business founded in 1916 by brothers Theodore Cresswell Pulliam and Frank L. "Pop" Pulliam. Doren Pulliam's office in the service and supply store was located for over 55 years at 2221 8th Avenue.
In 1991, Barry Pulliam moved the office to 2725 Altamesa Blvd., where we have a memorabilia cabinet displaying our pool building history.
Theodore Cresswell Pulliam
1877 – 1957
Theo's cement and plastering experience made his company a logical choice to construct some of Texas' first swimming pools. His business cards read "My Motto-Good Work at Reasonable Prices."
Doren Bates Pulliam
1918 – 1998
Doren built hundreds of pools with little more than a handshake and his integrity to guarantee performance and warranty. Larger projects included four Fort Worth public park pools and two of the Tarrant County Junior College pools.
Debra Smith & Mike Clark
Debra Smith, President and General Manager joined the company in 1992. After numerous promotions, she found herself largely overseeing day-to-day operations. Having served as President of APEC, the Texas pool and spa industry's legislative advocacy organization, Debra is well versed in the direction and challenges our industry faces today.
Mike Clark, Vice President and Sales Manager, became part of the Pulliam team in 1985 as a salesman, and promoted to Sales Manager in 1994. He has taught the sales team critical design elements, ever evolving software programs and necessary attention to detail. He personally reviews every plan before construction proceeds.
