Many of you knew Robert Stave, our Warehouse Manager and general "Answer Man" in the Service Department. Robert was the one who got called to the phone to answer technical questions, or called to the front to identify a 30-year-old part. He organized our inventory, took care of warranties, made sure we had teh equipment to keep up with new construction, and split his time between two warehouses to make sure everything was where it should be, when it should be.

Robert also lent a hand to whoever needed help, no matter how busy he was. He hung pictures, hunted up tools, and never saw a woman carrying something without saying "Let Big Rob get that."

Robert was in the pool industry for 25 years, and had forgotten more than many of us will ever know about swimming pools. He was a Branch Manager for SeaBlue before joining Pulliam as manager of the 8th Avenue location in 1991. He also worked for Pool Quip for 5 years.

Robert loved to cook and restore cars, and he also collected unicorns. He also loved to brag about his daughter, Jasmine, the number one lady in his life. He was loved by customers, vendors, subcontractors, and co-workers.

On August 29, Robert passed away as the result of a stroke. We will miss him.

Now that the nights are getting below 80 degrees, its time to think about turning on your heater to extend your swimming season. If you are planning a party, please check your heater at least one week before you plan to use it to make sure everything is working properly.
