Humorous with People - Pictures of Pools with people that are silly or wacky. Many families tell us they look forward to the silliness that this category encourages. The easy access of underwater cameras has brought photos for this category to a whole new depth.

Humorous with Animals- Pictures of pools with animals that are silly or wacky. Does Fido love to swim? This is his chance to be a star. Please don't combine animals and people in your pictures. It makes it difficult to know which category the picture should be in. Let your pet shine on his own!

General - Pictures of pools with people - serious in nature. This is probably the most confusing category. Basically, these are the "posed" family portrait type pictures by (or in) your swimming pool. Not silly. Not funny. Just a beautiful picture of your family and the pool.

Landscape - Pictures of pools only, no people or animals. This category provides the most entries. Try taking the picture from up on a ladder to get a better perspective. Can't fit the whole pool into the picture frame? Focus in on the most interesting section of the pool. Have alot of trees around your pool? Try taking the picture early in the day before the sun can cast shadows.

Remember - Blurry, out of focus pictures are not eligible for winning anything. Computer enhanced photos are not accepted. Pictures will be judged for photo quality and creativity. Additionally, no entries will be returned and winners will be asked to provide the negative for making copies. Contest begins July 1 and ends August 31. All winners will be on display at Wolf Camera and Video during the fall of 2000. More details to follow in the June 2000 issue of POOLTALK.
