Mark your calendars for April 8, 2000, because you don't want to miss this! Former Dallas Cowboy, Jay Novacek, and his wife, LeAnne, will be on hand to sign autographs and talk about water safety. Radio Disney will broadcast live from our offices and Gus & Goldie (the popular water safety spokesfish at Emler Swim School in Arlington) will present puppet shows for children of all ages. Water Safety Day will begin at 10:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. Jay and LeAnne will be here from noon until 2:00 to hand out water watcher tags, talk about the importance of teaching your child to swim, life jackets, and other safety issues. Stop by for free popcorn and soft drinks, visit with "Little Toot" from the Army Corp of Engineers, and then settle in with your kids to watch the "Gus & Goldie" puppet show appearing at 11:30 am and 2:00 pm. Don't forget to register for a free Letro pool sweep from Duhammel & Associates and play the "Throw, Don't Go" safety game with The Pool Doctors.

Radio Disney (AM 620), as part of their commitment to our community, will make an appearance to give out goodies and other Disney information. What else? You can check out Tarrant County 911 interactive "safety" booth, Cook Children's  with their famous "Game Wheel" (win prizes by answering safety questions), and "LongFellow Whales Tales" from the Tarrant County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Have your child fitted correctly for a "PFD" (personal flotation device) by a Ranger from the Army Corp of Engineers. Did you know you could turn your spa into a wading pool for children (or dogs) with the Minipool Spa Floor? Meet the Mom that invented this cool safety product. Want to see the latest in swimming pool alarms and other safety products? Leslie's Pool Supply will be on hand with samples of child-proof fencing, safety videos, and safety pool covers. All in all, there will be plenty to do, see, and hear to help all of us to "Be Wise, Supervise!". Many thanks to our major sponsors who are making this event possible: Pac-Fab, Radio Disney, and Teledyne-Laars Jandy.
